Chalandar Residence

This project, located on a 480-square-meter plot in Chalandar (a city where the distance between the Caspian Sea and the forest is remarkably short), was assigned to us for design in 2024. The land, with a gentle slope towards the north and the sea, and a stunning view of the forest to the south, inspired us to prioritize maximum transparency in the northern and southern facades during the design process. The public spaces of the house are oriented to offer expansive views of the sea, while the private spaces are designed to embrace the forest views. A large terrace was designed on the northern side, complemented by a smaller terrace on the southern side. The use of soft lines in the plan (windows) and in the project’s section (terrace edges) on the northern and southern facades fosters a more seamless and harmonious connection between the interior spaces and the surrounding natural environment.
