The design of this 220-square-meter restaurant in Penrith, England (the second branch) was commissioned by a private client and completed in 2024. The first branch of this restaurant (in Keswick, England) was also designed by Dash in 2019. The existing building of this restaurant is a historic structure, with load-bearing walls, and significant alterations to the space were not possible. Therefore, in the interior design, we focused on preserving the main historical elements of the building, such as the stone floors and walls, while ensuring the design conveyed a contemporary feel to the space’s users. Due to the lack of openings and natural light, all surfaces have been designed in light tones, and rustic wood has been used to separate spaces and as decorative elements.
